Tracy Coleman

Tracy Coleman has extensive work experience in education and language development. Tracy currently works as an Experiential Digital Global Engagement (EDGE) Program Associate at Penn State University. Prior to that, they held roles at Duolingo as a Senior Quality Control Specialist and a Quality Control Specialist (Contract). Tracy also worked at Carnegie Mellon University as a Language Development Specialist for four years. Tracy has experience in early childhood education and adult ESL as an Early Childhood Education and Adult ESL Specialist at the Greater Pittsburgh Literacy Council. Tracy has also worked as an Adjunct ESL Instructor at La Roche College and ELS Educational Services, Inc. Tracy was a Faculty Development Specialist at iCarnegie Global Learning and worked as an English Language Consultant at CRDF Global, where they instructed courses and evaluated language proficiency levels. Additionally, Tracy has held positions as an Adjunct Faculty and Consultant at Duquesne University in their School of Education department. Tracy started their teaching career as an English Language Instructor at Teach and Learn with Georgia.

Tracy Coleman obtained a Master of Science in Education with a focus on English as a Second Language from Duquesne University in 2010. Prior to that, from 2005 to 2009, Tracy obtained a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and a Bachelor's degree in Education from the same university. Tracy also holds several additional certifications related to diversity, equity, and inclusion. These certifications include "Moving from Bias to Inclusion in a DEI Journey," "Understanding Unconscious Bias," "Workplace Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in Action," "Intercultural Development Inventory Qualified Administrator," "Communicating Across Cultures Virtually," "Communicating about Culturally Sensitive Issues," "Confronting Bias: Thriving Across Our Differences," "Cultivating Cultural Competence and Inclusion," "Virtual Exchange Academy," "English as a Second Language Tutor Training," and "Mental Health First Aid USA." Tracy also holds a certification as a TOEFL iBT Test Center Administrator and has obtained instructional certifications from the Pennsylvania Department of Education.
