Derek Coutu

Derek Coutu serves as the Principal Talent Acquisition Partner for Executive and Leadership roles in North America at dutchie since July 2021, where notable achievements include establishing an internal leadership search function and successfully recruiting multiple senior leaders within the first six months. Prior to dutchie, Derek held a similar position at Rapid7 from January 2019 to July 2021, contributing to a significant increase in employee population and tripling of stock value during tenure. Derek founded BlackStar Recruiting, providing specialized talent acquisition services to various organizations, including OSRAM and Zagster. Earlier experience encompasses roles at Digital Lumens, Addison Group, and Robert Half, showcasing a strong background in building recruitment strategies and achieving high success rates in talent acquisition. Derek holds a BA with a double major in Political Science and History from the University of Vermont.
