Duxton aims to not only take advantage of the systemic shift in soft commodity prices, but also to actively invest in farmland and increase cash yields through farming efficiencies.

The central premise to its investing is keeping low gearing in its projects, as well as diversification across geographies, commodities, farm management styles and investment time horizons.  It creates value by actively selecting top-tier farm managers with local experience and proven track records. Duxton then works with these managers to create operational efficiencies through consolidation, utilisation and adopting the latest farming technologies. Duxton also aims to increase enterprise value through adopting large-scale production systems, vertical and horizontal integration, to realise economies-of-scale.
