Erik Ahrend

Erik Ahrend has a diverse work experience spanning multiple roles and industries. Erik is currently working at dv01 as a Staff Cloud Engineer and previously served as an Engineering Manager at the same company. Prior to joining dv01, Erik worked at MakerBot as a Lead Cloud Software Architect and Senior Site Reliability Engineer. Erik also has experience as a Senior Site Reliability Engineer at Rearc LLC and IPsoft. At IPsoft, Erik demonstrated proficiency in various programming languages and technologies, including Python, Go, AWS/K8S, MySQL, MSSQL, Java, and C#. Erik developed automated monitoring and testing tools and integration solutions for applications at IPsoft. Before their professional career, Erik was self-employed, offering computer repair services, and worked as an IT Consultant at Unbeatable sale. Erik started their career as a Contract Field Agent at Intellys, where they installed new point of sales systems and provided client instruction.

Erik Ahrend obtained an Associate's degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences, General Studies and Humanities from Ocean County College, where they studied from 2009 to 2014. In addition to their degree, Erik has obtained certifications in AWS as a Certified Solutions Architect from Amazon Web Services in January 2019, and in COMPTIA A+ from CompTIA in February 2014.
