Shayan Masood

Shayan Masood has a diverse work experience, starting with their current role as a Senior Data Engineer at dv01, where they have been working since June 2020. Prior to this, they held the position of Data Engineer at dv01 from October 2019 to June 2020.

Before joining dv01, Shayan founded a nanotech R&D startup called Sundays in the Park (S/TP) in April 2018. Shayan developed flexible and stretchable circuitry for heating applications in wearable tech, designing, fabricating, and characterizing flexible heaters.

In 2016, Shayan worked as a Data Engineer at Cadre, where they managed data ingestion, transformation, organization, and visualization for the company's investment decisions. Shayan also worked on various data science applications, including RevPAF predictions, supply/demand disparity rankings, gentrification indices, affordability indices, and market similarities.

Shayan gained valuable experience as a Data Science Intern at PlaceIQ in 2015, and as a Data Engineering Intern at Analytics Canvas in 2013. Shayan also had a Software Engineering Internship at Veeva Systems in early 2013.

Overall, Shayan has a strong background in data engineering and has demonstrated expertise in managing and analyzing data for various applications in different industries.

Shayan Masood attended the University of Waterloo from 2011 to 2016, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics with a focus on Computer Science.
