Roberto Ferro

Roberto Ferro is an experienced technology professional currently serving as the Practice Head for Artificial Intelligence and Blockchain at DVT since July 2020, where responsibilities include establishing hiring practices for tech roles and collaborating with sales teams on proposals. Previously held roles included Innovation Lead and Senior iOS Developer at DVT, with significant contributions to Web3 proof-of-concepts and presales efforts. Prior experience includes senior iOS development roles at Tracker Connect and Global Kinetic, leading projects such as the Bidvest Banking App and various banking solutions. Earlier in career, Ferro worked at Standard Bank Group, where achievements included winning an innovation competition for a rapid payment solution. The educational background includes a BSc (Honours) and a BSc in Computer Science from the University of the Witwatersrand. Additionally, Roberto Ferro founded Book Bay, a platform for buying and selling second-hand textbooks, which won the Start Up Weekend 2012 competition.
