Carley Shields

Carley Shields is a Senior Associate at DWF since May 2022 and also serves as Vice Chair of the Appeals Committee at the Irish Football Association, where Carley has held multiple roles including Interim Chair. In addition, Carley is the Chair and Board Member of Business Beats Cancer Belfast since February 2022. Previously, Carley worked as an Associate Solicitor in the Dispute Resolution Team at Arthur Cox from December 2010 to April 2022 and held the position of Research Assistant to the Ulster Unionist Members of the Northern Ireland Policing Board at the Northern Ireland Assembly for a brief period in 2010. Carley started as an apprentice solicitor at McGrigors Belfast LLP in September 2005, qualifying as a solicitor in October 2007 in the litigation department. Academic credentials include a BA Hons in Jurisprudence from Oxford University (2002-2005) and a distinction in the Certificate of Professional Legal Studies from Queen's University Belfast (2005-2007).
