Kent Thomson

Kent Thomson holds a B.A. and L.L.B. from Queen's University, awarded in 1979 and 1982 respectively. Kent is currently the Head of Litigation at Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP in Toronto, recognized for expertise in complex and high-stakes litigation. They have served as lead counsel in various trial and appellate courts across Canada, successfully arguing significant cases in multiple areas of law, including commercial disputes and class actions. Kent has earned numerous accolades, including listings in The Lexpert/American Lawyer Guide and recognition as one of the top 30 litigation counsel globally by Euromoney’s Expert Guides. Previously, they were a partner at Torys LLP and began their career as an articling student and associate at Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP.
