Murray Birt

Murray Birt is a Senior ESG Strategist at DWS Group, where they are a core part of the thematic research team focused on sustainable and responsible investing. They have been involved with various initiatives, including the European Energy Efficiency Financial Institutions Group and the Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change, where they co-chaired the development of net zero guidance for real estate. Their previous experience includes roles at the UK Sustainable Investment and Finance Association, Deutsche Bank, and the Confederation of British Industry, as well as advising the Global Commission on a New Climate Economy. Murray holds an MSc in Environmental Change and Management from the University of Oxford.
