Simon Murfin

Simon Murfin is an experienced finance executive with a robust career in asset management and banking. Currently serving as the APAC COO and Asia Pacific CFO at DWS Group since September 2018, Simon has a proven track record in financial leadership, having previously held the role of Asia Finance COO at Deutsche Bank from March 2010 to August 2018, overseeing local regulatory reporting and staff development across 12 countries. Prior to that, Simon was the CFO for VinGroup JSC in Vietnam and held senior vice president positions at both Nomura and Lehman Brothers, demonstrating expertise in high-yield investments and real estate finance across Southeast Asia and India. Simon began a career in finance at KPMG as a senior manager specializing in bank audits and started as an assistant manager at Leigh Carr Accountants after qualifying as a chartered accountant. Simon holds a BA Hons in Business Studies from Bournemouth University.
