Steve Manuel

Steve Manuel has extensive work experience in various roles across several companies. In 2022, they became the CEO and Co-Founder of Dylibso. Prior to that, in 2022, they worked as an Open Source Developer at Extism, where they focused on making software programmable. From 2022 to 2022, Steve served as a Senior Software Engineer in Quantum Compilation at Rigetti Computing.

In 2021, they joined Cloudflare as a Staff Systems Engineer, where they contributed to the "workers-rs" project, bringing native (wasm) support for Rust on Cloudflare Workers. Steve was also involved in serverless edge computing, developer productivity, Rust, and WebAssembly.

In 2020, Steve worked as the Director of Engineering at Ockam, and in 2019, they held the same position at Recurly. Prior to that, at Fanatics, Inc., Steve served as a Senior Engineering Manager and a Staff Software Engineer. Steve played an instrumental role in introducing new technologies and solutions to the organization, promoting the adoption of Go, gRPC, Protocol Buffers, and Rust.

Steve's earlier experiences include co-founding Boss Sauce Creative in 2014, where they specialized in crafting bespoke web experiences and developing custom software. Steve also founded Reachsocket in 2013, which was a proprietary data management platform for digital advertisers. Additionally, Steve founded Residency Group in 2012, a full-service digital and social marketing agency that worked with music festivals, venues, promoters, and artists.

Steve Manuel attended the University of Southern California from 2007 to 2011. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Music Industry, Marketing, Web Technology & Applications.
