Pablo Rivero

Pablo Rivero, CPA has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Pablo began their career in the US Army, serving in various roles and managing teams of up to ~50 individuals. During their time there, they oversaw multiple programs and initiatives, including the Drug & Alcohol program for a company of over 300.

Following their military service, Pablo worked at Deloitte & Touche as an Auditor, where they gained experience auditing financial statements for both private and publicly traded companies. Pablo also led audit engagements, analyzed account variances, and conducted Sarbanes-Oxley walk-throughs.

Pablo then moved on to Mutual of Enumclaw, where they served as a Senior Accountant. In this role, they managed a company-wide budget of over $300M and performed month-end analysis of reinsurance, investment, and cash flow activities. Pablo also collaborated with various teams to develop an internal profitability reporting structure and facilitated the annual budgeting process.

Afterwards, Pablo joined GCI - General Communication Inc. as a Financial Reporting Analyst. In this role, they prepared external reports and financial statements in XBRL. Pablo also created and maintained the extended XBRL taxonomy using Cognos Financial Statement Reporting software.

Most recently, Pablo worked at ASRC Construction Holding Company as a Controller. Here, they managed an Accounting department with 12 team members and oversaw various departments including A/P, A/R, Payroll, and Contracts. Pablo was responsible for financial reporting and FP&A processes, budgeting and reporting coordination, and creating executive dashboards and consolidated financial statements.

Pablo's latest position is as the Chief Financial Officer at Dynalectric San Diego, where they hold a leadership role in managing the company's financial operations.

Pablo Rivero, CPA, completed their Bachelor's in Business Administration (BBA) with a focus on Accounting at the University of Alaska Anchorage, from 2001 to 2006. Pablo then pursued a Master's in Business Administration (MBA) at the University of Washington from 2017 to 2019. Additionally, they obtained the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification from the State of Washington in 2010.
