Sunny Sanwar

Sunny Sanwar has a diverse work experience. In 2018, Sunny founded and served as the CEO of Dynamhex. In 2019, Sunny became an Assistant Professor at the University of Baltimore. In 2021, Sunny became a Climate Fellow at On Deck. From 2015-2019, Sunny was an Instructor at the UMKC Henry W. Bloch School of Management, leading student team competitions in the business school's entrepreneurship challenges and teaching entrepreneurship classes. From 2014-2015, Sunny was a Doctoral Researcher and PhD Student at the Regnier Institute for Entrepreneurship & Innovation, conducting research and teaching courses in entrepreneurial finance and venture capital investment. In 2013, Sunny founded Verd2GO, an energy storage venture, and was an Environmental Design Blogger at Global Site Plans. Sunny also worked as an Assessment Systems Administrator at Jackson County, State of Missouri and as an Economic Development Unit Consultant at Legal Aid of Western Missouri. Additionally, Sunny volunteered as a Development Volunteer at the United Nations Volunteers.

Sunny Sanwar has an extensive educational background. In 2005-2006, they obtained a High School Diploma (Secondary School Certificate) through the International Baccalaureate (IB) program at Lincoln College Preparatory Academy. From 2006-2010, they earned a Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Kansas. From 2011-2013, they obtained a Master of Public Administration in Science, Technology and Society from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Finally, from 2014-2019, they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Entrepreneurship and Innovation from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. Additionally, Sunny has obtained a number of certifications, including the IAAO.CAMA.101: Computer Assisted Mass Appraisal & MRA Modeling from the International Association of Assessing Officers (IAAO) in 2014 and the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) / Engineer in Training (EIT) from the Kansas State Board of Technical Professionals in 2009.
