William Evans has over two decades of experience as a software engineer, beginning their career at CSC in 1999. William worked on translating legacy code from CMS2 to Ada for the Navy's AEGIS program and developed new code for use on the legacy system. William then moved on to Lockheed Martin MS2, where they developed and upgraded a VxWorks and MercuryOS-based real-time data distribution system and designed, developed, debugged, tested, and maintained a CORBA-based communications system and API for an AEGIS-based radar system. At Northrop Grumman, they updated an AWACS radar control system and migrated it to VxWorks. At General Dynamics Robotic Systems, they were the lead software engineer on the design, development, and integration of a user interface and infrastructure for a modeling and simulation system that was used to develop and test an autonomous UGV (unmanned ground vehicle). At DRS Technologies, they designed, developed, debugged, and tested new GUIs to be used with radio systems being developed within the company. At Harris Corporation, they designed, developed, debugged, and tested new features for internally designed and developed radios, while at Tenable, they designed, developed, debugged, and tested client applications for use with the Tenable Log Correlation Engine. Their most recent position at Tensley Consulting Inc. involved updating existing open-source software to support the needs of the project, designing, developing, debugged, and tested new functionality for existing software on the IRONWORKS project, and improving existing functionality and adding new functionality. Their current position is as a Sr. Software Engineer at Dynamic Dimension Technologies.
William Evans attended Saint Peter's University from 1995 to 1996, but it is unclear whether they earned a degree or pursued a field of study during that time. From 1996 to 1999, they attended Rutgers University - Camden, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Computer Science.
