John Motta

John Motta is the current Chief Development Officer at Dynamic Energy. Prior to their current position, John served as Senior Development Manager at SunEdison from May 2014 to April 2016. Before that, they were an Analyst at First Southwest Company from January 2007 to December 2008, and they served as Development Manager at AES Solar / Silver Ridge Power from March 2011 to May 2014. John began their career in the renewable energy industry as a Business Development Intern at Lightsource Renewables from January 2010 to December 2010. John then served as Account Manager at Intercontinental Capital Group from January 2006 to December 2007. John has extensive experience in the renewable energy industry and has played a key role in the development of many large-scale projects.

John Motta completed their undergraduate studies at Virginia Tech, where they earned a Bachelor of Science in Business. John then went on to earn their Master of Business Administration from San Diego State University, graduating Summa Cum Laude. John Motta also holds a certification from the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority in Series 7.

John Motta reports to John Conley, President & CEO. Some direct reports include Derek Sheehan - Director, Community Solar Business Development, Jeff Nocella - VP, Business Development, and Tim Carr - SVP, Business Development. They are on a team with Andy Matson - Associate Director, Project Finance & Dispositions, Brent McDevitt - VP, Business Development, and Tony Orr - General Counsel.
