Dave Klain

VP, International at Dynamis

David Klain was born in Caracas, Venezuela and raised in various countries overseas. He completed a distinguished career in the U.S. Navy where he served at all levels including command. At sea, he served in a variety of assignments in various cruisers, destroyers and frigates and deployed to locations around the world. His staff and shore assignments included developing strategy in the Pentagon, an assignment on the staff of a United States Senator, and leadership positions at the Center for Combating Weapons of Mass Destruction co-located with the Defense Threat Reduction Agency.

Following his retirement from the Navy, Mr. Klain joined Ultra Electronics where he served as Vice President, Program Management at 3e Technologies International and as Vice President, Operations at 3 Phoenix Incorporated. In 2011, Mr. Klain was appointed as a Civil Expert to the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, providing advice and assistance in the areas of civil protection, critical infrastructure protection, new and emerging threats, and consequence management. He also regularly lectures and advises on these topics not only in the United States but around the world. He is currently Dynamis’ Vice President, International responsible for the company’s activities outside the United States. He also serves as Managing Director of Dynamis Europe (our European Subsidiary) leading all European activities.

Mr. Klain has either authored or co-authored over 20 articles and papers (both classified and unclassified) on the challenges and opportunities posed by advanced technology. He has a Bachelor’s Degree from the United States Naval Academy and a Master’s Degree from Catholic University.
