Alfred Basta

Alfred Basta has a diverse work experience in the field of information security and academia. Alfred currently serves as the Chief Information Security Officer at Dynapt since 2023. Additionally, they are an Advisory Board Member at EC-Council since May 2023 and an Exam Writer at Cloud Security Alliance since May 2023.

Prior to these roles, Alfred worked at Living Stones Group as the Chief Information Security Officer from June 2015 onwards and as the Director of Information Security from March 2010 to June 2015. Alfred started their career in 1996 at a University, where they held the position of Professor and Associate Dean of Curriculum until March 2010. During this time, Alfred taught courses in mathematics, information technology, and security, and also played a key role in developing and coordinating programs to ensure student success and retention.

Alfred Basta obtained a Master's degree in Computer Science from the University, completing their education from 1994 to 1996. In addition to their degree, they have acquired several certifications in the field of information security and technology. Alfred'smost recent certifications include being an ISO/IEC 27001:2022 - Certified Lead Auditor from the Global Association for Quality Management (GAQM), a Microsoft 365 Certified: Security Administrator Associate from Microsoft, a Microsoft Certified: Azure Security Engineer Associate from Microsoft, and a Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst Associate from Microsoft, all obtained in April 2023. Prior to this, Alfred obtained certifications such as Certified Red Team Operator from Zero-Point Security Ltd in January 2023, Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) from OffSec in June 2022, and EC-Council Certified Penetration Testing Professional (CPENT) from EC-Council in May 2022. Furthermore, they obtained a Licensed Penetration Tester (Master) certification from EC-Council, CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner ce (CASP+) and CompTIA CySA+ ce certifications from CompTIA, EC-Council Certified Cloud Security Engineer (CCSE) certification from EC-Council, Certified In Risk and Information Systems Control (CRISC), Certified Information Security Manager (CISM), Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), and Certified in the Governance of Enterprise IT (CGEIT) certifications from ISACA, AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional (SAP) certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS), CompTIA Cloud+ ce certification from CompTIA, EC-Council's Certified Chief Information Security Officer (CCISO) certification from EC-Council, Google Cloud Certified - Professional Cloud Architect certification from Google, and Google Cloud Certified - Professional Data Engineer certification from Google. These certifications were obtained between December 2021 and April 2023, showcasing Alfred's dedication to continuous learning and professional development.
