Seth Thomas has a solid work experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industries. Seth started their career as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Duke University Medical Center in 2011. From there, they moved on to FUJIFILM Diosynth Biotechnologies, where they worked as a Scientist II and later as a Senior Scientist. In 2016, Seth joined The Duke Human Vaccine Institute as the Manager of Downstream Process Development and eventually became the Head of Process Development. In 2020, they joined Taysha Gene Therapies as the Director of Process Development. Currently, Seth holds the position of Director of Drug Substance Development and Manufacturing Sciences at Dynavax Technologies. Overall, Seth's roles have been focused on process development and they have gained valuable experience throughout their career.
Seth Thomas earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biochemistry from The Ohio State University from 2002 to 2006. Following this, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biochemistry at the University of Maryland from 2006 to 2010.
