Dyslexia International asbl, a non-profit organization, was registered in Brussels, Belgium in 2000. 

In collaboration with a Scientific Advisory Panel and a team of online consultants in literacy and reading difficulties, Dyslexia International promotes free and fair education and equal opportunities for those who struggle with reading and writing by making teacher training the priority.

The organization brings together ministerial officers in charge of teacher training, university researchers and local networks to address the interests of over 10 percent of the world population who risk life-long illiteracy and marginalization, unless they are taught by appropriately trained teachers using methods that meet their learning needs.
