DYSLEXIA TANZANIA
Dyslexia Tanzania is an NGO based in Arusha , Tanzania that creates awareness about Dyslexia and advocates for dyslexia friendly education for dyslexic children. 

WHAT IS DYSLEXIA?
Dyslexia is a neurological condition that affects a person's ability to read, write, and spell accurately and fluently. It is a learning disorder that is often characterized by difficulties with phonological processing, which is the ability to identify and manipulate the sounds in spoken language. It affects about 10% of the population and can occur in individuals of any age, ethnicity, or background. Dyslexia is not related to intelligence or lack of effort, and it is not caused by visual or hearing problems. While there is no cure for dyslexia, early detection and intervention can help individuals with dyslexia learn to read and write more effectively, and with appropriate support, they can achieve academic and professional success.

Provide support, advocacy, and resources to individuals with dyslexia in Tanzania and Africa. Raise awareness and promote understanding through education, research, and community engagement.

WHAT WE SOLVE:
Our goal aligns with the fourth Sustainable Development goal (SDG 4) which aims to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education for all. By advocating for dyslexic children's right to education, we contribute to creating a more inclusive and equitable education system.
