Bashar Othman is a Senior Control System Engineer at Dyson, where they develop advanced product algorithms for vacuum cleaners and air purifiers, design PID controllers, and manage projects. Previously, they served as Head of the Test Section at ElSewedy Electric, overseeing transformer testing and quality control from 2010 to 2013. As a Research Assistant in the Power Electronics Lab at UTM from 2017 to 2021, Bashar focused on Lithium-Ion battery research and published two papers in high-impact journals. They also taught electrical engineering topics at Al Razi Institute from 2013 to 2015. Bashar earned a B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering from Damascus University and holds both a Master's in Mechatronics and a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from UTM.
