Matthew Wilson

Matthew Wilson serves as an Engineering Fellow in the Future Robotics Group at Dyson since March 1999, a position unique in its standing on the technical career ladder. Key responsibilities include resolving technical issues across all R&D and facilitating critical project progression. Additionally, Matthew has contributed as Technical Director for The Dyson Institute of Engineering and Technology, creating a multi-disciplined degree apprenticeship program, and previously held various roles including Engineering Technical Director, Head of Engineering, Head of Research, Head of Mechanical Engineering, Senior Design Engineer, and Design Engineer. Matthew also acted as Director at The Dyson Institute of Engineering and Technology, where responsibilities included serving as Vice-Chancellor for the first institution granted New Degree Awarding Powers under the Higher Education and Research Act 2017. Matthew holds an MEng in Engineering Science from the University of Oxford, obtained in 1998.
