Lead Developer at Dyspatch

Rob King started their work experience in 2006 as a Graphic/Web Designer at Navigator Multimedia Inc, where they designed and coded websites and created artwork for print. Rob then worked as a Graphic/Web Designer at Morningstar Enterprises Inc. from 2006 to 2008.

In 2009, Rob joined ENXSuite as a graphic/interface designer, where they redesigned and maintained the corporate website and created collateral for presentations, email correspondence, and brochures. Rob collaborated with the R&D director, senior developers, and client services to deliver interface designs and mockups.

From 2011 to 2012, Rob worked at Terapeak as an interface and web designer, playing a role in defining new products, collaborating with product managers and user experience designers. Rob also worked with the development team on frontend design and generated wireframes and mockups for upcoming products. In the marketing aspect, they led a website redesign and made updates to print collateral.

Rob then worked at Ivanhoe Studios as the Head of Design from 2013 to 2014, where they worked with companies that required user interface design, interface design, and front-end development. Rob integrated with existing development teams to bridge the gap between design and implementation.

From 2014 to 2017, Rob joined Helm Operations as a Front End Developer & Designer, later becoming a Creative Team Lead. In this role, they managed the design and implementation of components for a single-page web app, provided technical feedback to the product team, and created and maintained a large CSS codebase using Less as a preprocessor.

Finally, Rob is currently working at Dyspatch since 2017. Rob started as a Developer, became a Technical Team Lead, and is currently serving as a Lead Developer.

Rob King attended the Center for Arts and Technology Kelowna from 2005 to 2006, where they obtained a Certificate in Cross Media. Prior to that, from 2003 to 2004, they attended the University of Victoria, although the degree name and field of study are unspecified.
