Karin Lapping

Karin Lapping is an experienced professional in health and nutrition, currently serving as the Associate Director and Nutrition Topic Lead at Gates Ventures since July 2022, and as a Board Member at the dZi Foundation. Prior roles include Technical Director for Nutrition and Project Director for the Alive & Thrive initiative at FHI 360 from August 2016 to July 2022, as well as Senior Director of Nutrition at Save the Children from February 2012 to July 2016. Karin also held the position of Membership Counselor at The Society for Implementation Science in Nutrition from January 2016 to December 2018 and worked as a Nutrition Advisor at Save the Children US from June 2002 to June 2012. Educational credentials include a PhD in Food Policy and Applied Nutrition from The Gerald J. and Dorothy R. Friedman School of Nutrition Science and Policy at Tufts University and an MPH in International Public Health from Emory University. Undergraduate studies were completed at Colby College, earning dual Bachelor's degrees in Religious Studies and Anthropology.
