Steve Smith

Steve Smith is an accomplished professional in the field of composite manufacturing, with over three decades of experience. At DZYNE Technologies, Smith serves as the Director of Advanced Composites since February 2020. Prior to this role, Smith held the position of Director of Composite Operations at Applied Composites from March 2011 to February 2020, overseeing all composite operations and developing effective manufacturing facilities. From September 2008 to March 2011, Smith was the Director of Composite Manufacturing at Space Exploration Technologies, where responsibility included managing the composite fabrication for the Falcon1 and Falcon 9 rockets and the Dragon capsule. Previously, from July 1996 to September 2008, Smith managed daily operations in the composite shop at Swift Engineering, Inc., and from 1984 to 1996, Smith was involved in the fabrication of radomes and satellite antennas at OMOHUNDRO COMPANY.
