Stephen Telfer

Stephen Telfer has extensive experience in research and development within the imaging technology sector, currently serving as a Senior Fellow at E Ink Corporation since January 2010. Prior to this, Telfer held the position of Vice President and Senior Research Fellow at Zink Imaging, Inc., where Telfer co-founded the company and invented foundational technologies related to the Zink mechanism and amorphochromic dye chemistry. Telfer's career began at Polaroid Corporation, advancing from Scientist to Divisional Vice President and Senior Research Fellow, contributing significantly to digital imaging innovations, including OPAL thermal transfer technology and three-dimensional displays. Telfer holds an MA in Natural Sciences and a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the University of Cambridge, as well as post-doctoral qualifications in Organic Chemistry and Computational Chemistry from Stanford University and the University of California, Berkeley.
