Russell Kamali's work experience begins in 2001 at Rochford Thompson, where they worked as a Software Engineer, developing remittance processing software and working with high volume document scanners. Russell later became a Senior Software Engineer, designing and developing software for a full-page passport scanner, including e-Passport RFID chip reading capability and barcode reading capability.

In 2008, Kamali joined Winton as a Researcher and later took on roles as a Risk Manager, Database Developer, and Software Developer. Their responsibilities at Winton included developing and monitoring risk metrics, designing and developing database systems, and implementing coding standards. Russell also worked on Asian futures systematic trading systems and served as a technical lead for various aspects of the Asian business.

In 2021, Kamali joined BluJay Solutions as a Senior Technical Consultant, where they developed last mile logistics software for handheld devices and helped design solutions using the company's mobile application framework. Russell also enhanced and modified customer solutions.

Currently, Kamali is working at e2open as a Senior Engineering Lead. Their responsibilities include leading a team in the development of last mile logistics software for handheld devices, interviewing and recruiting software engineers, and serving as the technical lead for all of the product's customers.

Russell Kamali completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Warwick from 1998 to 2001. Prior to that, they attended Abingdon School from 1990 to 1997, but their degree and field of study are unknown for this period.
