Yinchung Chen

Yinchung (Eric) Chen is a Senior Research Engineer at e2open since March 2020, previously serving as a Research Engineer. Prior to this role, Yinchung held positions at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign as a Postdoctoral Research Associate and Graduate Research Assistant, leading significant projects in Raman laser cooling and publishing multiple journal articles. Yinchung's research expertise includes numerical modeling of photonic systems, fiber optics experimentation, and photonic waveguide design. Yinchung also contributed to mathematical modeling and computational programming during earlier research assistant roles at National Taiwan University, where advanced techniques in heat transfer and fluid dynamics were applied. Yinchung holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, a Master of Science in Applied Mechanics from National Taiwan University, and a Bachelor of Science in Systems and Naval Mechatronic Engineering from National Cheng Kung University.
