Tom Burke

Tom Burke serves as the Chairman and Founding Director at E3G since 2003 and has held the position of Trustee at Green Alliance since 1979. Burke's extensive experience includes a role as Senior Advisor to the Special Representative on Climate Change at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office from 2006 to 2012, and as Environmental Policy Advisor at Rio Tinto from 1996 to 2003. Earlier in their career, Burke coordinated local groups and served as Executive Director and Vice-Chairman at Friends of the Earth from 1973 to 1981. Educationally, Burke holds a BA in Philosophy from the University of Liverpool, attained from 1965 to 1969, and completed education at St Boniface's College, Plymouth, from 1957 to 1965.
