Jonathan Van

Jonathan Van has a wealth of work experience. Starting in 2008, they worked as Business Development for Eastmond Corporation. In 2012, they became a Research Assistant for the McCombs School of Business, where they helped put on the Entrepreneur-in-Residence Speaker Series. In 2013, they worked as a Clean Tech Intern for Genesis Consulting, a Business Development Analyst for Astrotech Corporation, a Founder and Advisor for UT Discovery Fund, and an Associate and Entrepreneur-in-Residence for Alta Ventures Mexico. In 2015, they Co-founded MOTIVE Accelerator Program and Technium, and in 2018 they became a Mentor for Blackstone LaunchPad at UT Austin. Most recently, in 2020, they joined Element 8 as Enterprise Business Development and Innovation.

Jonathan Van began their education journey in 2006, when they graduated from Jesuit College Preparatory School with a High School Diploma in General. Jonathan then attended The University of Texas at Austin from 2010 to 2014, earning a Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing. In 2012, they participated in a Summer Startup Accelerator at General Assembly, focusing on Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies. Jonathan also attended altMBA's Summer Seminar: Impresarios the same year.
