Dr. Dan Walker is a Senior Geologist at EA Engineering, Science, and Technology, Inc. PBC and serves as the Associate Director for Multidisciplinary Studies at the Center for Technology and Systems Management within the University of Maryland’s Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering. With a Ph.D. in Geology from the University of Tennessee, Walker has nearly 30 years of experience in strategic planning and management of state and federal science, including roles as Director and Chief Climate Scientist at the Computer Sciences Corporation and Assistant Director for Environment at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy. Walker is an active speaker on climate and ocean policy and a member of multiple professional organizations, including the American Society of Civil Engineers, where they co-chair a task force on climate resilience.
