Eagle & Oak is a consultancy working with organisations responsible for places of cultural, historic and environmental significance.

We support museums, heritage trusts, historic houses, landscape organisations and place-based partnerships to navigate change with clarity and confidence. Our work focuses on helping organisations understand what truly matters, make sound strategic decisions, and plan sustainably for the long term.

Eagle & Oak was founded by Jon Breton (O'Donoghue), who brings more than 25 years’ experience working across the cultural, heritage and visitor economy sectors. This experience spans frontline delivery, senior leadership and board-level roles, and is grounded in a deep understanding of how places operate in practice — organisationally, financially and emotionally.

Our approach is collaborative, thoughtful and rooted in real-world experience. We work closely with boards, directors and leadership teams, often at moments of transition, growth or uncertainty, to develop strategies and plans that are both ambitious and realistic.

Rather than offering generic solutions, Eagle & Oak begins with careful listening and structured exploration. We help organisations ask clear, useful questions a
