Digital Accessibility Specialist

Lorelei Root has extensive experience in accessibility advocacy and digital accessibility consulting. From January 2019 to May 2022, Lorelei served as Vice Chair of the Accessibility Advisory Committee for the City of Guelph, having been involved with the committee since 2019. Currently, Lorelei holds the position of Chair of the Accessibility Advisory Committee and is a member of the Site Plan Review Subcommittee and the Accessible Municipal Elections Subcommittee in Guelph. Additionally, Lorelei is a freelance video game accessibility consultant with contributions to various game development studios and public speaking engagements at major conferences. Lorelei also serves on the Board of Directors for the Canadian Centre for Disability Studies and has held past roles in management and sales at companies such as Eagle's Flight, American Eagle Outfitters, New York Fries, and Ben & Jerry's.
