David Peyer

David Peyer is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in failure analysis and device engineering. Currently serving as Manager: Failure Analysis at Eargo since January 2024, David previously held roles at Genentech as Senior Device Engineer and Device Engineer II. At Ventec Life Systems, David significantly contributed to the production of ventilators during the COVID-19 pandemic by addressing failure modes and enhancing quality. David's earlier experience includes a role as CAD Engineer at Zimmer Biomet, where responsibilities included updating surgical implant specifications for regulatory compliance, alongside positions in consulting and research at Quentin Road Ventures and the University of Michigan, respectively. David began a biotechnology company, Genotyp, promoting affordable biotechnology education in high schools. David holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan.
