Ken Malone

Ken Malone is an experienced executive with a diverse background in leadership and innovation across various sectors. Currently serving as the Executive Officer at Early Charm since January 2012, Ken is focused on creating a new commercial pathway for scientific discoveries, bypassing traditional funding challenges. Prior roles include Chief Operating Officer, Director of Ventures, and Chair of Economic Development at the University of Southern Mississippi, where Ken contributed to building business ventures and establishing significant programs such as the Trent Lott National Center for Excellence in Economic Development and Entrepreneurship. Previous experience includes strategic planning and finance leadership positions at Atofina Chemicals, encompassing responsibilities for business operations and marketing management, as well as a foundational role at Georgia Gulf. Ken holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Miami and a Ph.D. in Polymer Science from The University of Southern Mississippi.
