Frank Crast has a diverse work experience in the field of cybersecurity. Frank has held various roles in different companies throughout their career. In 1990, they worked as an Assistant Controller at Marriott Hotels, where they managed accounting staff and analyzed financial statements. From 1992 to 1999, they founded and worked as a Consultant at Server Warehouse/Softek. From 2000 to 2005, they worked at Charles Schwab as a Senior Staff/Systems Engineer and later as a Solutions Architect. From 2007 to 2011, they served as a Technical Director - Security Architecture and Technology at Charles Schwab. Frank then worked as a Senior Security Consultant at Experis IT from 2011 to 2013. In 2013, they joined American Express as an IT Risk/Information Security Manager, where they provided consulting and guidance to ensure security best practices and company standards. From 2014 to 2018, they worked at PayPal as an Information Security Architect. In 2018, they moved to Silicon Valley Bank as a Director of Cyber Security, responsible for network security technologies and controls. Since 2019, they have been working at Early Warning as a Principal Enterprise Security Architect. In 2011, they also co-founded Securezoo, which offers cyber security guidance and services to small and mid-sized businesses.

Frank Crast attended the United States Military Academy at West Point from 1984 to 1986, where they studied Mechanical Engineering. Frank later enrolled at Arizona State University from 1987 to 1990, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance. In terms of additional certifications, Frank obtained the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Professional certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in June 2020. Frank also holds the CISSP certification from (ISC)², although the specific details of its attainment are not provided.
