Mathieu Kunzi

Mathieu Kunzi is the CTO and Co-founder of EarlySight. Mathieu was previously a Scientific Assistant at EPFL from March 2016 to February 2019, where they worked on the development of a novel system of label-free high resolution quantitative phase imaging for life science and medical applications. Mathieu was also in charge of the optical design and software for automatic control. In addition, they worked on the development of an innovative device for medical diagnosis in ophthalmology.

Mathieu completed a Master Thesis R&D internship at Lyncée Tec SA from August 2015 to February 2016, and a semester project at Optics & Photonics Technology Lab from September 2014 to January 2015.

Mathieu Kunzi received their Master of Science in Microengineering from EPFL in Switzerland. Mathieu also has a Bachelor of Science in Microengineering from EPFL and a Bachelor's Degree in Nanotechnology and Electrical engineering from KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden. In addition, they have certification from Venturelab in Innosuisse Business Creation Medtech and PADI in PADI Open Water Diver.

Mathieu Kunzi reports to Timothé Laforest, CEO & Co-founder. Mathieu Kunzi works with Sonja Simon - Zoula - Head of Clinical Operation, Benedetto Sgroi - Global Head of Business Dev, Sales and Marketing. A direct report to Mathieu Kunzi is and Andrés Duque - Software Engineer.
