Timothé Laforest

CEO & Co-founder at EarlySight

Born in France in 1984, Timothé Laforest is a business executive and entrepreneur who specializes in the development and commercialization of innovative technology. Timothé is the CEO and co-founder of EarlySight, a company that provides early stage funding and support to startups developing new medical technologies. Prior to their work at EarlySight, Laforest was a postdoctoral scientist at Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne from 2015 to 2018, where they conducted research on integrated devices for coherent light analysis and control. Timothé also worked as a PhD student at CEA from 2011 to 2014, where they focused on the development of optoelectronic circuits and optical systems.

Timothé Laforest has a Master of Science in electrical and electronics engineering from INSA Strasbourg, as well as a Master of Science in imaging for life science, robotics, and automation engineering from Télécom Physique Strasbourg.
