Earthbotics is a forward-looking technology consultancy and innovation lab pioneering the convergence of enterprise IT services and human-centered artificial intelligence. Founded by U.S. Navy veteran and IT leader Joseph Socoloski, Earthbotics began as a boutique consultancy serving government and corporate clients. Today, it’s evolving into something much bigger—an AI research and development company with a mission to explore the frontiers of conscious software, robotics, and cognitive simulation.

What makes Earthbotics truly unique is CARL—the Cognitive Architecture for Reasoning and Learning. First introduced at TechCrunch San Francisco in 2018, CARL is a lifelike AI agent that models emotional states, introspection, and memory through MBTI-inspired frameworks and structured internal dialogue. It represents a groundbreaking effort to simulate human-like consciousness in software—integrating emotional reasoning, memory formation, and visual perception into one unified cognitive architecture.

Earthbotics operates at the intersection of rigorous IT practice and radical innovation. We blend deep technical experience—including work with Fortune 500 companies and municipalities—with pioneering research into AI cognition and behavioral simulation. Our hybrid approach enables us to deliver reliable IT solutions today while actively building the emotional and ethical AI systems of tomorrow.

Through our upcoming website and dedicated CARL sub-site at carl.earthbotics.com , visitors will be able to:
