Troy Helming

Troy Helming has a wide range of experience in the clean energy industry. Troy has founded and led multiple companies, including EarthGrid, a Public Benefit Corporation, where they served as the Founder and CEO. EarthGrid is focused on developing a network of tunnels to transport clean renewable energy, provide broadband access to underserved communities, and offer various other services.

Prior to EarthGrid, Troy worked at Green Reach Inc. for over 20 years, serving as a Clean Energy Executive, Advisor, Consultant, and Board Director. Troy has also been involved in solar energy for over 40 years and has worked with clients such as Aypa Power, McKinsey, Goldman Sachs, Citigroup, and many others.

Troy has held leadership positions in several other companies, including Traverse Fitness, Inc., where they served as Chairman of the Board, and Solarenewal LLC, where they were the Founder and Managing Member. At Solarenewal, they managed a portfolio of utility-scale community solar power plants and oversaw various aspects of operation and finance.

Throughout their career, Troy has founded and led multiple companies in the clean energy sector, including Petra, Pristine Sun LLC, KC Biofuels LLC, Krystal Energy Corporation, and Tradewind Energy, Inc. These companies were involved in various aspects of renewable energy, including solar, wind, and biodiesel production.

Troy's expertise in the clean energy industry is extensive, and they have played a significant role in the development, financing, and management of numerous clean energy projects.

Troy Helming attended Shawnee Mission North High School from 1983 to 1986. After completing high school, they pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Management, General at The University of Kansas from 1986 to 1990.
