Daniel Powers

VP, Corporate Finance at Easterly Government Properties

Mr. Powers serves as Director – Corporate Finance for Easterly Government Properties.

Mr. Powers is responsible for financial planning and analysis, including earnings forecasting and scenario modeling, and assists the Chief Financial Officer with balance sheet management and executing capital markets transactions on behalf of the firm. Mr. Powers has been with Easterly since IPO and has worked in several capacities during his tenure with the firm. Mr. Powers began as a Senior Property Accountant and was promoted to Senior Property Controller before eventually transitioning to the Corporate Finance team in 2018. Mr. Powers has a unique and wide-ranging knowledge of the firm’s operations through his experience working in several departments throughout the entirety of the Easterly career.

Prior to joining Easterly, Mr. Powers was the controller of Action Demolition & Recycling, a large scrap metal recycling company based in Charlotte, North Carolina. Prior to that, Mr. Powers began his career in public accounting as an auditor and later an audit manager at Cowan, Bolduc, Doherty & Company, LLC, located outside of Boston, Massachusetts.

Mr. Powers received his bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Penn State University.
