Eastern Light's main product is dark fiber. Customers are hyperscalers, cloud providers, international and national operators, and other organizations with special requirements for controlling their own physical fiber routes and needs for robust and secure data communication. 

Customers acquire fiber capacity through long-term  agreements or leases and install their own active equipment in Eastern Light’s purpose-built telecom facilities along the routes, enabling a fully controlled end-to-end communication service. 

Eastern Light designs routes for maximum efficiency between data centers, remaining fully agnostic about deployment methods — whether that means submarine or terrestrial cables. 

Eastern Light constructed the first new fiber optic submarine cable system between Sweden and Finland in more than a decade, operational since 2019. Over the coming years, Eastern Light will significantly expand its network across the Nordics to meet growing demand for international long-haul dark fiber. By building express fiber highways across the region, Eastern Light is reshaping how backbone infrastructure is developed in the Nordics.
