Geert de Jong has worked for several companies since 2011. Geert started as a student-assistant at the Nieuwenhuis Institute for Educational Research at the Rijksuniversiteit Groningen in 2011. In 2013, they worked as a translator for the Talencentrum (Rijksuniversiteit Groningen). In 2014, they were a temp worker for Start People. In 2015, they were an ICT Editor for Noordhoff. From 2016 to 2022, they worked as a Learning and Development Consultant and Training Associate at UMCG Universitair Medisch Centrum Groningen, and is currently an Enterprise Customer Success Manager for Easygenerator.

Geert de Jong has a comprehensive education history. Geert began their educational journey in 1999 when they attended RSG de Borgen for their VWO (Dutch secondary education). In 2006, they moved on to the University of Groningen, where they obtained a Bachelor (Ba) in English Language and Culture in 2010. That same year, they completed an Erasmus exchange year at the University of Liverpool. In 2011, they returned to the University of Groningen and obtained a Research Master (ReMa) in Cultural Sciences in 2014. In 2018, they began a Master of Science (MSc) in Health Informatics at the University of Amsterdam, which they are expected to complete in 2021. Additionally, in 2017, Geert de Jong obtained an Epiccare Inpatient Procedure Orders certification from Epic.
