John Day

John Day has extensive aviation experience, serving as a Captain at easyJet since September 2000, accumulating a total of 13,500 flight hours, including 10,000 command hours. Day has proficiency in the Airbus A320 series with 9,500 hours and the Boeing 737-300/700 with 2,000 hours. Day initially joined easyJet through the CTC ATP scheme and has witnessed the company's growth from 12 Boeing aircraft to over 300 Airbus aircraft. In addition to piloting, Day works as an Airbus Ground School Instructor, delivering technical refresher courses and remedial training sessions. Since October 2016, Day has also been an A320 Type Rating Instructor and Examiner at L3Harris Commercial Aviation, and has held the same role at CAE since January 2018, consulting as a UK & EASA TRI TRE MPLi.
