Matthew Colwell

Matthew Colwell is an experienced aviation professional with a diverse background in military and commercial flying. From January 1989 to May 1999, Matthew served as a Commando helicopter pilot in the Royal Navy, operating in Northern Ireland and Bosnia aboard the Seaking Mk 4. Transitioning to the civilian sector, Matthew worked as a Senior First Officer at British Midland from May 1999 to March 2002, flying the Boeing 737. Afterward, Matthew held the position of Captain at BMI Baby from April 2002 to March 2004, and has been an Airline Captain with easyJet since April 2004, proficient in both the Boeing 737 and Airbus A320/319. Matthew's education includes O Levels and A Levels from Pates Grammar School, a degree in Physical Education from Loughborough University, and a 2:1 degree in Sports and Recreation Studies from North Staffordshire Polytechnic.
