Scott Young

Scott Young is currently the Director of Property Management at EasyKnock. Prior to their current position, Scott served as Vice President/Director of Operations for BNY Mellon from March 2017 to February 2020. In this role, Scott led a team of multi-site mortgage custodians responsible for the processing and safekeeping of over 16 million paper and electronic promissory notes and 65+ million associated mortgage documents.

Under Scott's leadership, the team was able to successfully eliminate a significant backlog of high financial risk items, increase productivity by 25%, and reduce defect rates to less than 1%. Scott also spearheaded profitable product enhancements and process improvements, which led to improved SLA performance from 65% to 99%.

Prior to their role at BNY Mellon, Scott served as Senior Manager at Ocwen Financial Corporation from February 2014 to March 2017. In this role, Scott was responsible for leading a team of mortgage servicing professionals. Under Scott's leadership, the team was able to successfully improve employee morale and buy-in, and reduce the attrition rate from 30% to less than 4%.

Scott Young's educational career includes a Master's of Science in Environmental Policy/Sustainability from Purdue University Global, a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science from Drury University, and various courses of instruction from the U.S. Navy. Scott is also certified by the US Navy as an Administrative Officer, Anti-Terrorism Officer (ATO) Level II, Certified Instructor/Trainer, Certified Physical Fitness Leader, Communication Security Electronic Key Material Material System Manager, and Naval Security Manager. In addition, they have certification from The Ken Blanchard Companies in Ken Blanchard Situational Leadership.
