Romain Pagès has a diverse background in engineering and safety management. In 2015, they worked as a Hardware/Software Engineer at LAAS-CNRS, where they designed a communication interface for a drone. In 2016, they joined ALTEN as a Research and Development Engineer for six months. Later that year, they joined Groupe PSA, initially as a Hardware and Software Chassis Engineer before becoming an Actuators/Drive by Wire Technical Leader for Autonomous Driving. In this role, they collaborated with international chassis suppliers to define future braking/steering systems for autonomous vehicles. Romain also played a key role in designing the safety concept for Level 4 autonomous vehicles. In 2020, Romain joined Sensible 4 Oy as a Functional Safety Manager, responsible for implementing safety strategies, developing safety culture, and managing safety deliverables according to ISO26262. Romain also led activities related to autonomous driving safety in all weather conditions. Currently, Romain works at EasyMile as a System Engineer, starting in 2022.

From 2013 to 2016, they attended the Institut national des Sciences appliquées de Toulouse where they earned a Master of Engineering - MEng degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering with a focus on Automation.
In 2015, they participated in an exchange semester at Chulalongkorn University, studying Information and Communication Engineering.
Before that, from 2011 to 2013, they pursued an Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering - industrial IT at Université Paul Sabatier Toulouse III.
In terms of additional certifications, Romain obtained a TOEIC (Test Of English for International Communication) score of 950 in April 2018, awarded by ETS Global B.V. Romain also received a certification in PSE2 (Premiers Secours en Equipe de niveau 2) from the Croix-Rouge française in September 2016.
