Leilah Bernstein

Leilah Bernstein is an experienced copy editor with a diverse background in editorial and publishing roles. From May 2019 to September 2024, Leilah contributed to MasterClass by ensuring the accuracy and consistency of educational materials and marketing content. Prior experience includes positions at Prospect Park Books, where Leilah copyedited various genres; Entertainment Weekly, serving as deputy copy chief; and Los Angeles magazine, where Leilah was an associate editor. Additional roles include copy editing for The Hearthland Foundation and Goodreads.com and overseeing editorial content for several publications, including Eater and The California Sunday Magazine. Leilah holds an MA in Journalism from the University of Southern California and a BA in English from the University of California, Los Angeles.
