Michael Ellinger, Ph.D., is currently the Aerospace Software Engineering Manager at Eaton, where they lead systems electrification and functional safety initiatives. With prior experience at Parker Aerospace and Eaton Cummins Automated Transmissions, Michael has developed integrated solutions in aerospace, automotive, and industrial automation. They also established the WMU Neurobiology Engineering Laboratory during their tenure as a Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant at Western Michigan University, where they published work on biological system dynamics. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, and a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering, all from Western Michigan University.
