John Elliott MBE is the chairman of Ebac Ltd, a position they have held since 1972. They previously worked as an apprentice at Westool Corporation from 1959 to 1968 and as a draughtsman at Rutherford Appleton Laboratory from 1969 to 1971. They were awarded an MBE for services to small businesses. They completed a City and Guilds Electrical Technicians course in electrical engineering at Bishop Auckland College (1960–1966) and a City and Guilds Electrical Technicians certificate in electrical engineering at bishop Aucklane Technical College (1961–1969).
